An alumnus and Vice-Chancellor's Fellow at the University of Tasmania, Saul Eslake is one of Australia’s leading independent economists, renowned for his sharp insights into economic policy and financial markets. Based in Hobart, Saul operates Corinna Economic Advisory, where he provides expert analysis and consultancy to a diverse array of clients, including governments, investors, and major corporations.

Saul’s career spans over four decades, including significant roles as Chief Economist at both ANZ Bank and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He has shaped public discourse through keynote addresses, media appearances, and his involvement in key government advisory panels. Saul has also been a member of various influential boards, including Hydro Tasmania and the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute.

Saul holds a first-class honours degree in Economics, a Doctor of Laws (honoris causa), and several advanced qualifications in finance and leadership and is a valued advisor to the Australian Parliamentary Budget Office.
